    It’s The Journey, Inc. – producer of the Atlanta 2-Day Walk for Breast Cancer – is a local organization founded 10 years ago by a breast cancer survivor, Randi Passoff. When the Avon 3-Day Breast Cancer Walk pulled out of Atlanta in 2002, Randi, a long time walker, decided that Atlanta needed a fundraising event wherein all of the funds stayed local to support Georgia breast cancer patients and breast health programs. She created what we call “the kinder and gentler breast cancer walk”. Instead of the 3-Day model of walking 60 miles over 3 days and sleeping in a tent, the Atlanta 2-Day Walk covers 30 miles over 2 days and we sleep in a hotel.

    When you raise or donate money to It’s The Journey, Inc., all funds stay right here in Georgia to help provide diagnosis, education and support to thousands of Georgians affected by the disease.

    It’s The Journey, Inc. (ITJ), producers of The Atlanta 2-Day Walk for Breast Cancer, has become a trusted “go-to” resource and leader in breast cancer advocacy for our community. The 2-Day Walk is It’s The Journey, Inc.’s premier fundraising event, raising millions for Georgia communities, and depends on the generous donations of individuals and businesses to help us fulfill our mission to strengthen Georgia’s breast cancer community. Donations are used to help fund local educational programs and organizations in Georgia that provide breast cancer education, early detection, mammograms, diagnostic services, awareness and support services, transportation, and more.
